I could light a fire in your heart

torn apart
I cannot feel the heat that comes from friction in my mind
that's melting my insides
It doesn't matter anyway, the yesterday syndrome.

I could write a poem and the words would not make any sense
but that would be quite useless since my energy has all been spent
I could try to go to sleep and close the world off from my sight
but voices saying that I failed
would echo in my head throughout the night
