about

One day I asked Ron Compton to let me record him playing a drum cadence as I wanted to make a recording with it. I had no idea what I would do.

I had a Casio mini battery powered keyboard.

Underneath someones house, I had found a weird old LP about the Apollo 11 lunar landing.

That was enough I guess.

Back in the days before sampling and DAWs, I cobbled this together with the record and the Casio and very little patience. I did this on a lark about 1988 or so, on a little Yamaha 4-track recorder in the little sunroom in my apartment. Nothing precision, just making a recording for the fun of it.

lyrics

Tranquility base here, the Eagle has landed.
