Extra Special Eyes, written by one of my favorite bands in the world: The Embarrassment. This is our version of the song, and we hope we haven't mangled it beyond recognition.
We started recording this around 1998 or so. The recording started off as just a few mics set up in our practice room. We got a great one take track, but the guitar went out of tune. I knew this was a keeper despite how primitive and bad the recording was. I recently ran it through the magic machine and applied quite a bit of digital sorcery to isolate the drums (lots of bleed) and triggered some new drums. We retracked the bass, guitars and vocals and added a little spice to it.
This is not the best recording I have ever made, but I did manage to take a 15 year old 8-track recording and make it sound in tune, and a little more listenable than it was.
Thanks to The Embarrassment for letting me put this up. I hope you enjoy it! We sure enjoyed playing it!!
